Raman spends most of his days at work performing field or lab testing of soils, and performing field inspections and soil investigations. He has worked on many projects including stormwater management systems, geotechnical reports for single family residences and retaining walls inspections and designs for townhouse subdivisions. Since starting work at Valley Geo, Raman has expanded his knowledge about different geotechnical designs.
When asked about working at Valley Geotechnical;
“I think Valley is a great place to learn about Geotechnical Engineering, as you get tons of exposure to the industry and get to support the senior engineers”.
Education & Experience
Raman received his degree in Civil Engineering. While in school, Geotech was his favourite subject, which is what lead him to seek a job in this industry. Before working here, he had been in this field for about a year and a half.
The advice that he would give to those looking into pursuing an Engineering field;
“The advice I’ll give to people starting in this field is to keep learning and asking questions, regardless of how stupid you think they’ll sound”.
