Working at Valley Geotechnical
Melissa Onderwater is one of two Administrators at Valley Geotechnical. She was hired in October 2015 and has brought many great qualities to Valley Geo. She has great client relations and an eye for detail. Melissa loves to organize and has cleaned up all of the internal files of Valley Geo. She is the first face you see when you step inside our office in Langley. She stays on top of the account receivables, invoicing, collections, answering phones, responding to emails, as well as many other Administration duties.
One quality of Valley Geotechnical that Melissa particularly appreciates is how family friendly they are.

Education & Experience
Melissa Onderwater has been an Administrative Assistant for over 12 years in a variety of fields. She started her career as a receptionist in the veterinary business where she handled the day-to-day inventory, ordering and receiving products, and occasionally working in the back with the animals. Melissa’s career has been people and customer orientated. Her experience shows in how she works with the clients and their business with the company.
Advice to those going into the Administration field;
“It is a job that requires people skills, adaptability, as well as being comfortable on the computer. School matters but one learns a lot from experience. Any experience is good experience”.
Outside of Work
With work, her kids in school, and after school activities it can be hard for Melissa to get a free moment. When she does get a moment to herself she enjoys reading.
